ROI and measurement

Evaluate the value with numbers you can inspect.

A transparent scenario a sales leader or RevOps lead can read in under a minute: separate pools of time, a realization rate you control, and net ROI only when you enter your own cost.

Default scenario · by realization rateIllustrative

  • Conservative25% realized$21,400
  • Moderate50% realized$42,800
  • Full capacity100% realized$85,600
Illustrative scenario — not measured Syntri customer results. Labor-equivalent value per year for a hypothetical ten-seller team.

The calculator

Change any assumption. Every number follows.

Every number below is an assumption you can change. Recovered time is capacity, not cash; you decide how much of it becomes useful value. Seller preparation and manager administration are separate pools of time, so nothing is counted twice.

Realization

How much of the modeled capacity becomes useful value in your organization. These are hypothetical levels, not Syntri benchmarks.

Your costs (optional)

Enter your own estimates to see net ROI. Nothing is pre-filled and no Syntri price is implied.

Realization-adjusted value

$42,800/ year

at 50% of $85,600 labor-equivalent capacity

Seller hours potentially reclaimed
1,200 hours$60,000 labor-equivalent
Manager / RevOps hours potentially reclaimed
320 hours$25,600 labor-equivalent
Combined capacity
1,520 hours38 aggregate 40-hour person-weeks across the organization, not per person

Add your own annual cost to see net ROI, the benefit-to-cost multiple and the break-even realization rate.

Net ROI
—(realized value − total cost) ÷ total cost
Benefit-to-cost multiple
—realized value ÷ total cost; not the same as net ROI
Break-even realization
—realization rate at which value equals cost

Methodology and formulas
  1. Seller hours = sellers × (minutes ÷ 60) × days per week × weeks per year. Default: 10 × 0.5 × 5 × 48 = 1,200 hours.
  2. Manager / RevOps hours = territory events × hours saved per event. Default: 4 × 80 = 320 hours. These are different people’s hours from the seller pool, so no hour is counted twice.
  3. Labor-equivalent capacity = seller hours × seller rate + manager hours × manager rate. Default: $60,000 + $25,600 = $85,600.
  4. Person-weeks = combined hours ÷ 40. Default: 1,520 ÷ 40 = 38 aggregate person-weeks, spread across the organization.
  5. Realized value = labor-equivalent capacity × realization rate. At 25%, 50% and 100%: $21,400, $42,800 and $85,600.
  6. Net ROI appears only when you enter a cost: (realized value − total cost) ÷ total cost × 100. The benefit-to-cost multiple is shown separately and is never labelled ROI.

Recovered time does not automatically become cash savings or revenue. Use the realization rate to reflect how your organization would actually use the time, and validate the assumptions against your own baseline during an evaluation.

What to measure

Replace assumptions with your own baseline.

A scenario is a starting point. An evaluation agrees a baseline at the start and reviews it together at the end, on your process, measured your way.

  • Territory event effort

Hours spent on each hire, departure or reorganization, before and after.

  • Time to a working book

How long a new rep waits for a reviewed set of accounts.

  • Handoff rework

How often AEs ask for missing context or reject for the same reason.

  • Preparation time

How long reps spend assembling context before a call or a draft.

  • Coverage questions answered

Whether managers can answer coverage questions without asking every rep.

  • Adoption

Whether the people who do the work actually use the workflow.

Questions

ROI questions, answered plainly.

Are these Syntri customer results?

No. Every default is an illustrative assumption about a hypothetical team. Syntri does not publish measured customer ROI on this page.

Why is net ROI empty until I enter a cost?

Net ROI needs a total cost. Syntri does not pre-fill a price, because Teams pricing is scoped in an evaluation. Enter your own estimate to see net ROI, the benefit-to-cost multiple and the break-even realization rate.

What is the difference between net ROI and the benefit-to-cost multiple?

Net ROI is (realized value − total cost) ÷ total cost, shown as a percentage. The benefit-to-cost multiple is realized value ÷ total cost. A multiple of 1.69× is a net ROI of 69%, not 169%.

Does recovered time turn into savings?

Not automatically. Recovered hours are capacity. The realization rate is your judgment of how much of that capacity becomes useful value, such as more preparation on the right accounts or less overtime on territory changes.

Could the same hours be counted twice?

The model keeps two separate pools: seller preparation time and manager or RevOps territory-administration time. They belong to different people, so no hour appears in both.

Is anything I type sent to Syntri?

No. The calculator runs in your browser tab. Inputs are not sent, stored or tracked.
